About Us

Founded in 2013, Society for Eastern Rite Anglicanism (SERA) is a faith-based organization committed to promoting and sustaining a movement towards an established Eastern Rite in the Anglican Communion. To achieve this mission, the society is gathering together people interested in exploring this goal and provides support and resources to those interested in using Eastern Rite liturgies in an Anglican setting.

Our Vision

We look forward to the day when there is an established Eastern Rite in the The Anglican Communion. Just as the Roman Catholic Church has made accommodation for Eastern Rite Catholics, we envision the day when The Anglican Communion, or at least provenances or dioceses therein, will make accommodation for Eastern Rite Anglicans.

The Future for SERA

SERA is an organization, but most importantly a grassroots effort growing from the interest of the people. We envision the day when dozens of dioceses that have endorsed the use of an Eastern Rite and perhaps hundreds of congregation actively use the Eastern Rite in their rhythm of worship.
